A spa is always thought to be an exotic place and is often considered out of reach.

Ingredients: The following ingredients are required for the spa preparation. A fine sea salt, honey, distilled water, and a few drops of lemongrass, rosewood, ylang ylang, an aromatic blend and Rhassoul. Rhassoul is difficult to get and it is found in the Atlas mountains.

It has many benefits as it aids in the detoxification, cleansing and degreasing process. It is available at most health food stores. If you cannot find it, you can substitute green clay in its place.

Preparation: Mix half a cup or three fourths of a cup of distilled water with a tablespoon of honey. If necessary, the honey may be heated. Add to this mixture the essential oils of lemongrass, rosewood and ylang ylang, the sea salt and one packet of Rhassoul.

Application: Prepare the room for the treatment. Warm four bath towels by wetting them and setting them at a low heat. Use these to cover the massage table.

You can also use a plastic sheet to cover the massage table and minimize mess. The person getting the massage should wear as little clothing as possible. A two piece bathing suit that is disposable is recommended.

The next step is to evenly apply the paste all over the client’s body. Once the application has been completed, wrap the client in the plastic sheets and towels. Ensure that the client has enough breathing room and is not uncomfortable. This mixture should be left on for at least a half an hour.

During this time, a face, neck and head massage may be completed. Care should be taken to heat the towels as needed to maintain warmth, but to ensure that the client is not too hot. The paste is then removed with a wet towel.
